Passion for Finance and Data
I studied Econometrics (Quantitative Finance) and Economics in Rotterdam, building a strong foundation in finance and data analytics. I loved the models, but I love businesses even more. Internships in M&A and Private Equity taught me that I do my best work close to the action: sitting next to a business owner, seeing the direct result of my efforts. So I joined a Private Equity owned, carved-out company, where I learned to drive business performance. That led me to fractional CFO roles at several SMEs, and eventually to starting Avesight, to fill a gap I kept running into in my own toolbox as a finance professional.
Why I started Avesight
Financials shouldn't be busy with data engineering
After years working with financial data, I kept seeing the same frustration: valuable time disappeared into exports, clean-up, and reconciliation before analysis could even begin. Avesight turns that friction into a reliable flow from bookkeeping data to places where I do my work (for example Excel and Power BI).
